Easter Preparation:Wednesday and Thursday

Taking advantage of a few minutes of quiet here. Jack is asleep and the other three are resting/sleeping off the effects of yesterday’s stomach bug. I don’t think we’re out of the woods yet with that but at least no one is throwing up anymore. Buggle and Mouse still have good fevers though and Bull is easily upset by life which tell me he’s not back to normal yet either.

So yesterday was kind of a wash in terms of getting anything done, although I did get completed schoolwork for February and March filed. Spent a lot of time holding various children, running up and downstairs with things, and trying to keep everyone happy and either resting or occupied with something quiet.

By noon I was feeling rather poorly myself but thankfully S doesn’t have a real heavy load at work this week and was able to come home early, and monitor the children while I went to bed for a couple of hours. He stopped by the library on the way home too, so the children all have books to read that they haven’t seen before.

Jack was so funny at bedtime last night. I put him in bed and he usually goes down easily, but he got quite upset. We couldn’t figure out what the problem was, S had fed him a peanut butter sandwich and a piece of toast, so we didn’t think he was hungry. I’m still not sure he was actually hungry but we finally realized that his evening meal is always something I feed him off of a spoon. I fed him some baby food and he went nicely to bed!

Today everyone is pretty wiped out including me since Mouse had me up in the night about 12 times! S will go to the Maundy Thursday service tonight while I stay home with the children, then I’ll go to Good Friday and The Great Vigil on Saturday. Hopefully everyone will be better by Sunday!

The jury is still out on Easter Feast. We’ll decide tonight if we’re going to go ahead, depends on how today goes, how children are feeling and how tired I am.

Sorry… :/ Hope it gets better!
And if you have that feast as planned, know there’s somebody far away who’s pining to be there. 😛
