Tree Frog

F and Su had their first overnight visit with Grandma and Grandaddy (my parents) this week. They had a great time and behaved themselves (not always the same thing). Su came home and told S that she had seen a baby dinosaur! She had a very elaborate description of it and all. F said it was a lizard and she said she was trying to fool S. We were rather impressed by her imagination but her brother thought that the facts were the facts and didn’t see the joke at all.

The really exciting thing for both of them was catching a tree frog in the cucumber patch! Mom gave them an old grated cheese can to keep it in and they brought it home for W to see:

We admired it for a while (yes, that’s a glass serving bowl covered with plastic wrap) then let it go:
