3in30 Update: Second Week of August

I missed the link-up last week, just had one of those days when I had too many things to do and not enough hours….

Here’s how things went this week:

Cleaning off the table and half the counter before I go to bed at night makes such a difference in the morning! I’ve been making a point of getting the children to clean up their toys completely before supper so the downstairs is (mostly) clear of clutter when we come down in the? morning. I am definitely going to continue with these habits… and maybe even expand on them a little next month.

I’ve been doing better at getting personal devotions. Still not quite hitting every day but getting most days. I’ve been having to do some retraining on expectations during nap/quiet-time so hopefully once we’ve worked through that, I’ll do a better with this.

I have been stretching almost every day, a friend who teaches yoga gave me some exercises to do to work certain muscles and that has helped my weird shoulder issue, so I’m encouraged to keep on…

We have one more week in this school session and I’m about half done with planning the next one as well as our week off. The weather has gotten cooler too so I have a bunch of yard stuff I want to get done during that time….

    Agreed! The only way I’ve made it through 25 years of marraige and work is to put everything away in the kitchen at night and make lunches and breakfasts for the next day- a good morning makes the day much more pleasang for everyone. Thank god for tupperware!

    Glad to know there’s a long term pay-off, Jeanine! I need to pick your brain about school snacks. One thing I haven’t even thought about yet and F starts preschool in three weeks!…K

    Stretching to help with your shoulder sounds like a good plan. I think I could stand to stretch just to relieve some tension.
